Love remained in the air for one more day after Valentine’s with LuLu’s popular complimentary annual Tropical Re-Union wedding vow renewals, complete with a rose for the ladies, and individual certificates signed by Lucy Buffett and wedding officiant, Lynn Dominique. This year, right at 130 couples stood simultaneously holding hands while the wedding officiant conducted the official vow renewal ceremony. Emerald Coast Theatre Company Announces Broadway's Lulu Picart as the Musical Director for Musical Theatre Intensive
Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) is proud to announce Broadway's Lulu Picart will serve as Musical Director for the Musical Theatre Intensive: Disney's High School Musical for Teens July 8 - 28, 2024. This three week camp will stretch students' theatre skills and grow them as performers. Easter Bunny and Easter Egg Dash Fun Experience for Kids at LuLu’s
Once again, LuLu’s in Destin held its annual Easter event. Kids were ‘eggcited’ to see the tropically clad Easter Bunny as he helped the kids find 5,000 eggs at the Easter Egg Dash on the sandy beach on the Choctawhatchee Bay. Divided by age groups, Easter eggs, along with prizes in golden eggs, were placed all over for kids to put in their Easter baskets. United Way Emerald Coast Partners with Okaloosa County School District
The Okaloosa County School District has partnered with the United Way Emerald Coast to help build a foundation of early literacy, social-emotional development, and mentorship. ReadingPals is a statewide early literacy initiative that provides volunteer mentors for local students from voluntary prekindergarten to third grade who may need extra help. Once a mentor passes their background screening, they undergo training before getting placed in a classroom where they work at a 1:2 ratio. For more
