Join the Okaloosa Island Beach Cleanup on June 8, 2025
In honor of World Ocean Day, Beach.com invites you to take action and help protect our shores at the Okaloosa Island Beach Cleanup. Our mission is to inspire travelers and coastal communities to care for the places we love, and this global day of ocean conservation is the perfect opportunity to make a difference.
As we build our platform to help travelers discover the best coastal stays, we remain committed to preserving the beauty and health of our oceans. Our beach cleanups bring together volunteers, ocean advocates, and community leaders to remove harmful debris and raise awareness about plastic pollution. By joining us, you’ll be part of a movement to keep our beaches clean and our marine life safe—one piece of trash at a time.

Meet Your Cleanup Captain:

Tabitha Siegfried (Instagram @tabby.siegfried)
My name is Tabitha Siegfried, and I’m a marine biologist specializing in sea turtle rescue and rehabilitation. I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biology from the University of West Florida and now serve as the Sea Turtle Stranding Coordinator at the Gulfarium C.A.R.E. Center. The ocean has been my passion since childhood, and I’ve dedicated my career to protecting it. I see firsthand how plastic pollution harms marine life, which is why I’m leading this beach cleanup. Every piece of trash removed makes a difference, and I’m excited to work together to help protect our oceans!
