One Okaloosa EDC officially launched a new on-line presence today with the announcement of www.oneokaloosa.org. Developed by Appleyard Duncan McCall, a Pensacola-based marketing agency, the site replaces One Okaloosa’s prior site that had been in existence since 2017. One Okaloosa had previously undertaken a website refresh following the organization’s rebranding from the Economic Development Council of Okaloosa County to One Okaloosa EDC in late 2020.
“Our prior website served us well for more than seven years, but with industry standards suggesting that economic development websites should be refreshed every three to four years, and redesigned every five to seven years, we determined that a redesign was in our community’s best interest”, stated Nathan Sparks, One Okaloosa EDC Executive Director.
With so many prospective companies and site selectors choosing to conduct preliminary research online, economic development websites, such as One Okaloosa’s, are often the first impression that a prospective company may have of an area they may be considering.
“Quite frequently, when we are contacted by a site selection professional working on behalf of a company or a business seeking a new location, we find that they have already downselected us based on information they found on our website. For this reason, it is imperative that our online presence be the best that it possibly can be,” continued Sparks.
Featuring content deemed to be relevant to prospective businesses – including workforce, demographics, and available properties – the site also includes information helpful to those who may be seeking to start a business. In addition, overviews of local schools, healthcare, recreation, arts / culture, and a “Preferred Service Provider” directory are provided as a resource to individuals who may be considering relocating to the area.
