During the Destin Chamber’s Sept. 12 Business Before Hours Sponsored by AGM Secure Money, LLC, Wayne Bernheisel was honored with the Chamber’s Business Person of the Quarter Award. This award is presented directly from the Chamber’s Board of Directors to a Destin area businessperson showing vision for his or her business and leadership in our community. Bernheisel is the owner of three local businesses, including Gulf Coast Shutter, Overhead Door, and Quality Gates & Openers.
“When he bought the company, they had one brand. They now have three and continue to grow at a great pace. He’s always been community minded as well. You see him involved in a lot of charity and community organization work,” said Destin Chamber President & CEO Shane A. Moody, CCE, FCCP. “He’s been a tremendous businessperson, and he’s a pretty good person, too!”
In addition to serving on the Destin Chamber's Board of Directors, Bernheisel has served the Rotary Club of Destin as Secretary, Sergeant at Arms, President, and Past President. He is a member of OneOkaloosa EDC, and he has served his Church through committees and as a Life Group Leader. He volunteered with the Emerald Coast Children's Advocacy Center, and last year, he donated a garage door and installation to Tunnel to Tower.
