We've been fortunate that the Atlantic hurricane season has been relatively quiet so far. But as everyone along the Gulf Coast knows, that can change quickly, so it's always good to be prepared.
We continue to build a network of volunteers who are willing to help with deliveries, transportation, supplies, and other needs following a hurricane or other disaster.
You don't need to live along the Gulf Coast to volunteer. In fact, we encourage folks from outside the area to sign up as well. Following a major storm, those outside the affected area are typically in the best position to help get supplies and other necessities to the people and communities that need them most.
With the current development of Invest 92L in the Gulf, we thought this would be a good time to remind everyone that our Emergency Support Network is open to anyone who would like to help.
There's no commitment. We're simply building a list of folks we can reach out to if our community ever needs help.

Hopefully, we won't need it. But if we do, it's good to know there are neighbors ready to help neighbors.
