Terésa R. Hebert Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who’s Who Biographical Registry

Terésa R. Hebert has been inducted into Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

For nearly four years, Ms. Hebert has served the City of Destin as a councilwoman. Before her tenure in the public service sector, she enjoyed a career in both the military and the pharmaceutical industry. She held the titles of first class petty officer, chief, senior chief and lieutenant junior grade in the United States Navy from 1983 to 2003, a position in which she demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication. Ms. Hebert’s commitment to excellence was recognized through numerous awards, including the Defense Meritorious Medal, two Navy Commendation Medals, two Navy Achievement Medals, and the Joint Service Achievement Medal—accolades that underscore her dedication and skill in serving her country.

Following her military service, Ms. Hebert began her civilian professional journey with Pfizer Inc., where she held various roles from 2003 to 2022. After starting as an advanced sales management designee, she later transitioned to institutional sales and then became a specialty health care representative. In 2021, Ms. Hebert transitioned to Exact Sciences Corporation, where she became the senior territory manager, a position that keeps her involved in the health care and diagnostics sector alongside her role in her local government.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Hebert has been actively involved in various civic organizations. She is an ambassador for the Destin Chamber of Commerce and holds board memberships with the Tourist Development Council and the non-profit organization Defense Works. Additionally, she contributes to the Northwest Florida League of Cities and the Okaloosa-Walton Transportation Planning Organization. Overall, her civic engagement reflects her deep commitment to community development and welfare.

Coupled with her military and professional experience, Ms. Hebert’s academic background has played a crucial role in her success. She earned a master’s degree in human resource management from Wayland Baptist University in 2010 and a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Hawaii, which she received at the conclusion of her military service in 2003. Additionally, she holds an associate degree in business, which initially laid the foundation for her subsequent academic pursuits and career trajectory. 

Overall, Ms. Hebert’s education and diverse experiences have equipped her with the skills necessary to lead effectively and make informed decisions that benefit her community and profession. Outside of her busy career and civic duties, she enjoys running, reading, swimming, traveling, paddleboarding, and spending quality time with her family, which includes her husband, Stephen, and four children, and most importantly, her five grandchildren. Looking ahead, Ms. Hebert is optimistic about her re-election in November of 2024 and remains dedicated to completing significant infrastructure projects within her community that will enhance both safety and aesthetics.
