During the Destin Chamber’s Aug. 11 Business Before Hours Sponsored by Destin City Lifestyle Magazine, Clayton Bonjean, Broker/Owner of Mainsail Realty Company, was honored with the Chamber’s Business Person of the Month Award. This award is presented directly from the Chamber’s Board of Directors to a Destin area businessperson showing vision for his or her business and leadership in our community.
Bonjean has personally closed more than 550 real estate transactions totaling more than $330 million dollars in gross sales. Recently, Mainsail Realty Company Agent Erin Treadwell broke the record for highest priced home sale in Destin, when she successfully closed 793 Bayou Drive at $8.7M.
“Real estate is a major driver in our economy here. When you look at his track record, his success speaks for itself, and his contributions to the economy are tremendous. It was a privilege to recognize him as Business Person of the Month,” said Shane A. Moody, CCE, FCCP.
Bonjean began visiting the Emerald Coast of Florida when he was a toddler and became a fulltime resident in 1997. He received his real estate license in 1998 and became the Broker/Owner of Mainsail Realty Company in 2008. He has a marketing degree from the University of Mississippi and an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
