Northwest Florida State College (NWFSC) has been recognized with the 2026 CLEP® Honors Military Achievement Award, marking the fourth consecutive year the college has received this national honor from the College Board.
The CLEP Honors Military Achievement Award recognizes top CLEP testing centers nationwide based on the number of CLEP exams administered from January 1 through December 31, 2025. NWFSC will be formally recognized at the CLEP Honors Awards Reception in San Antonio, Texas, on June 10, 2026.
The award highlights NWFSC’s strong partnership with Hurlburt Field and its commitment to expanding access to higher education opportunities for military service members. By offering CLEP exams, the college helps students earn college credit for knowledge gained through experience and prior learning, allowing them to save time and money as they work toward their degrees.
“This recognition is a reflection of the strong partnership we have with Hurlburt Field and the dedication of our Testing staff,” said Julie Payne, Director of Testing and Accommodations at Northwest Florida State College. “Our staff work diligently to provide a secure, supportive testing environment and to ensure that service members have access to opportunities that help them advance their education. It is an honor to serve the military community and to support those who serve our nation.”
NWFSC’s Testing Center provides CLEP testing services at multiple locations, including Hurlburt Field, Fort Walton Beach, DeFuniak Springs, and Niceville, making it convenient for military members and other students across the region to take advantage of credit-by-examination opportunities.
CLEP, administered by the College Board, is the most widely trusted credit-by-examination program and is accepted at more than 3,000 colleges and universities nationwide. The program offers 34 subject exams, allowing students to demonstrate their knowledge and potentially earn college credit.
