TRAFFIC ADVISORY – AIRPORT ROAD MILLING & RESURFACING
The City of Destin would like to inform residents and motorists that milling and resurfacing operations on Airport Road, from the curve near Destin Executive Airport to US Highway 98, are scheduled to begin Monday, November 2, 2026.
PROJECT SCHEDULE
November 2–4: Milling of existing asphalt
November 5–6: Cleanup and milling around intersections, curves, and manholes
November 9–11: Asphalt resurfacing
November 12: Final cleanup and removal of traffic control devices
Temporary striping, then permanent striping will be scheduled as soon as possible after the 11th.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Motorists should anticipate temporary lane closures, traffic delays, and construction equipment operating in the area. Please use caution, reduce speeds, and follow all posted traffic control signs and flagger instructions.
Access to businesses and properties along Airport Road may be temporarily affected during construction. All work is weather permitting, and the schedule is subject to change.
