We’re excited to share that our newly remodeled collaborative clinic space in partnership with White-Wilson Medical Center at 1005 Mar Walt Drive in Fort Walton Beach is ready to welcome patients, expanding access to high-quality care for patients across our community. This updated and expanded clinic features 12 exam rooms, increasing appointment availability for primary care and specialized outpatient services. The clinic will also play a vital role in supporting patients transitioning from hospital to home by offering dedicated follow-up appointments after discharge to help ensure successful recovery and continuity of care. In addition, the clinic will provide specialized support for patients managing complex medical conditions, medications and treatment plans. We are fortunate to now have 24 resident physicians in internal medicine at HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital 12 additional Internal Medicine and 13 additional Transitional Year Residents in July.
At last week’s ribbon cutting ceremony with the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber, it was an honor to introduce some of the doctors in our internal medicine residency program who are seeing patients at the clinic. Under the guidance of experienced physician leaders, these talented resident physicians in our Graduate Medical Education program provide compassionate, patient-centered care while gaining invaluable clinical experience. Our internal medicine residency program currently includes 24 resident physicians, with 25 additional residents joining our internal medicine and transitional year programs in July.
As part of HCA Healthcare—the nation’s leader in graduate medical education—HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital is committed to training the next generation of physicians while improving access to care for our community.
