A New Chapter in Manatee Conservation at the Gulfarium
Get ready for an extraordinary experience! We’re excited to introduce Lil Joe and Inigo, two rescued manatees, who have just arrived at their new home, Manatee Cove! This immersive habitat has been specially designed to provide top-tier care for these gentle giants, featuring stunning underwater views, interactive educational chats, and a chance to see these incredible animals up close like never before!
As the first facility in the Florida Panhandle to provide extended care for rescued manatees, the Gulfarium is honored to partner with the Manatee Rescue and Rehabilitation Partnership (MRP), U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS), and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) to help protect these vulnerable creatures.
Now, you can see Lil Joe and Inigo as part of general admission and learn how we’re working to conserve Florida’s manatee population. These two manatees came to us from Disney’s The Seas with Nemo & Friends, where they were also part of vital rehabilitation efforts.
