Join us on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Seville Quarter in Downtown Pensacola for one of the Gulf Coast’s most flavorful traditions, Gumbo Ya-Ya! From 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., amateur and professional teams will go head-to-head for the title of Best Gumbo in Pensacola.
Each gumbo will be judged on taste, aroma, appearance, and consistency, with awards presented to the top three teams. Additional honors include trophies for Showmanship and the coveted People’s Choice award.
Guests are invited to sample a variety of delicious gumbo and cast their vote for their favorite. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door, so grab yours early to save and enjoy an afternoon of great food, friendly competition, and community spirit. All proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida.
For those ready to put their culinary skills to the test, team entry is $20 for a three-person team, with space limited to just 15 teams. All gumbo must be prepared from scratch on-site, with cooking beginning at 11:00 a.m., and judging and public tasting kicking off at 4:00 p.m.
