HCA Florida Healthcare Hosts Construction Ceremony for HCA Florida DeFuniak Springs Emergency

HCA Florida HealthcareHCA Florida Healthcare has announced that it has begun construction on the new $19 million HCA Florida DeFuniak Springs Emergency as part of HCA Florida Healthcare’s continued expansion to serve the growing North Florida community.

Slated to open in early 2026, the 11,000 square-foot facility will be located in DeFuniak Springs to serve Walton County and nearby communities. 

HCA Florida DeFuniak Springs Emergency will be a 24/7 full-service, state-of-the-art emergency room with board certified emergency medicine physicians, nurses and healthcare professionals ready to care for patients with the same capabilities as a main hospital emergency room. It will feature 10 emergency exam rooms, CT scan, digital X-ray, ultrasound, on-site laboratory services, and will be capable of caring for all ages, including children.

The freestanding ER construction site is located on 160 Twin Springs Way, DeFuniak Springs, Florida, 32435 (near I-10) and will treat families with all types of acute injuries and illnesses every day of the year. In addition, the facility will employ approximately 35 full-time healthcare professionals.
