The Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center’s (ECCAC) Board of Directors recently announced Dr. Dennis Lichorwic as its newest board member.

With great success over the years, he now has offices and cosmetic dentistry staff serving clients in Destin, Navarre and Panama City. As a respected member of the dental community, Lichorwic maintains membership in a number of accredited and respected dental organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Northwest Florida Dental Society, the Florida Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Lichorwic is also a past President of the Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Over his many years living in Northwest Florida, Lichorwic has also been heavily involved with the community and local charities. He has participated with ECCAC, the Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation, the Children’s Volunteer Health Network Board, the YMCA of the Emerald Coast Board, Chi Chi Miguel/Emeril Lagasse Foundation, the Destin Women’s Club, Junior League, Rotary, Kiwanis and St. Jude’s Hospital.

“It is my honor to serve on ECCAC’s board,” commented Lichorwic. “I hope to bring anything and everything I can to assist the organization, I’m a hard worker and dedicated to this cause.”

Aside from his dentistry practice and involvement in the community, Lichorwic enjoys fishing, boating, tennis, golf, working out, and volleyball. He spends most his free time with his wife, Glenda, and his three sons.

ECCAC identifies and provides critical services for child abuse victims and their families while working toward holding offenders accountable. In a child-friendly environment, the non-profit organization helps prevent child abuse through education, protects child victims from future abuse, and provides resources to restore the lives of the impacted child and the child’s family. With a Center in Okaloosa County and the Pierce Family Center in Walton County, they house representatives from the Florida Department of Children and Families, Child Protection Team, State Attorney’s Office, local law enforcement, licensed mental health counselors, and ECCAC’s staff and volunteers. ECCAC has provided more than 170,000 services to over 15,000 children at no cost in the past 23 years.
