Destin High School Launches Local Internship Program for 11th & 12th Grade Students

Destin High School is proud to announce the launch of its new Student Internship Program, aimed at connecting motivated 11th and 12th-grade students with valuable hands-on experiences in local businesses. This initiative is designed to foster meaningful partnerships between the school and the business community, equipping students with real-world skills while supporting the development of a local talent pipeline.

Through this program, businesses in various industries, including hospitality, healthcare, marketing, construction, technology, and others, are invited to host DHS student interns during the school year. These placements offer students firsthand exposure to career paths they may wish to pursue while providing businesses an opportunity to mentor and shape future leaders.

“We believe this is a win-win for our students and the Destin business community,” said Dr. Diane Kelley, Principal of Destin High School. “By opening internship opportunities, our local businesses are not only helping shape workforce readiness, they're also playing a direct role in the success and confidence of our youth.”

Businesses interested in participating in the internship program can sign up or learn more at: https://app.cariina.com/ticketing-live/web/6839fe9d44d4a3ac38afd6a1.

Destin High School is committed to preparing students for life beyond the classroom. This program is another step toward ensuring that education in Destin is not only academically rigorous but also career-connected.
