During the Destin Chamber’s Jan. 10 Business Before Hours and Annual Membership Meeting at Emerald Grande, 2024 Chairman Christian Carlee of First National Bank officially passed the gavel to 2025 Chairman Jenni Brunson of Okaloosa Gas.
After taking the gavel, Brunson explained the goals she and the Board created for the coming year, including continuing to work with local and state officials and organizations in advocating for the needs of the business community, forming a Past Chairman's Council to serve the Chamber as an advisory board, re-energizing the Destin Forward Alumni Group, and creating a Membership Appreciation Week, among other things.
“I look forward to serving as your Chairman in 2025. I am following many great leaders, and I will do my very best to uphold the honor and integrity with which each of those previous chairmen served,” said Brunson.
Brunson then installed the 2025 Board of Directors. Joining her on the Executive Committee are Chairman-Elect Monica Wallis, Destin Water Users; Treasurer Branden Crosby, Warren Averett; Vice Chairman/Government Affairs & Economic Development Bryan Osborn; Vice Chairman/Community & Tourism Development Tyler Jarvis, The Bald and the Beard Restaurant Group; and Vice Chairman/Membership Capt. Chad Rewis, Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office.
