Destin American Legion Post 296 Announces Destin's Cole Rewis to Attend 2025 Boy’s Nation Program

American Legion Post 296Mr. Cole Rewis of Destin recently completed the Florida American Legion Boy’s State Program in Tallahassee on June 15-21, 2025. A total of 512 boys from across the State of Florida attended. Of those 512 Boys, two are selected to represent the State of Florida at Boy’s Nation, July 18-25, 2025, in Washington DC. Cole was one of the two selected. Boy’s State and Nation are both American Legion sponsored intensive civics-based programs, Boy’s State focusing on local, county and state government and Boy’s Nation focusing on national governmental structure and operations. Cole will be a senior at Fort Walton Beach High School in the fall. Cole’s parents are Capt. Chad Rewis of the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and Nicole Rewis, Office Manager at the Destin Surgery Center.
