The Okaloosa Public Schools Foundation (OPSF), in partnership with the Okaloosa County School District (OCSD) and The Salvation Army Florida Division – Fort Walton Beach Corps, invites the community to participate in the annual Stuff the Bus school supply drive on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Walmart locations in Crestview, Destin, Fort Walton Beach, and Niceville.
Held during Florida’s back-to-school tax-free month, Stuff the Bus offers residents an opportunity to make a direct impact on local students by purchasing and donating school supplies as they shop. Donations collected during the event will help ensure students across Okaloosa County have the essential tools they need to begin the school year prepared and ready to learn. “Stuff the Bus is a wonderful example of our community coming together to support students and families,” said Superintendent Marcus Chambers. “Every notebook, backpack, and box of crayons donated helps remove barriers to learning and gives students the confidence to start the school year successfully.”
To expand collection efforts, donation boxes will also be placed at participating businesses throughout Okaloosa County. Additional collection site locations will be announced as they are confirmed and shared on the district website and social media channels. Businesses and organizations interested in serving as a collection site are encouraged to participate.
