Matthews & Matthews LLP is seeking an experienced Business Director to oversee financial management, human resources, risk management, and operational functions for our Destin and Santa Rosa Beach offices. This is a dynamic leadership role with responsibilities spanning accounting, compliance, facility management, and vendor relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial reporting, reconciliation, budgeting, and direct supervision of an accountant managing multiple companies.
- Manage and administer the company 401(k) program, including coordination with TPA and financial institutions.
- Supervise payroll, maintain and develop employee training programs, Policies & Procedures, and Employment Manual.
- Oversee and maintain all advertising content.
- Establish and enforce Risk Management practices, including evaluation and procurement of building, E&O, Crime, and Cyber insurance policies for multiple entities.
- Handle facility management and office space leasing.
- Manage third-party vendor contracts and cloud-based operating systems.
- Ensure proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel emphasis) & Adobe Pro.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role with equivalent responsibilities.
- Strong financial acumen and accounting expertise.
- Proven ability to manage multiple business operations and vendor relationships.
Preferred:
- Law firm experience
- Master’s Degree
