ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER
FULL TIME/EXEMPT
REPORTS TO: GENERAL MANAGER
In the performance of their respective tasks and duties, all employees are expected to conform to the following:

POSITION PURPOSE:
The Assistant General Manager is the second in command of the Food Hall Operations Team and is responsible for the overall operations with a specific focus on facilities and financial management of the food hall and bar. In addition to their primary responsibilities, it is the Assistant General Manager’s job to build a win/win partnership with our vendors, help create and execute a development plan for each of the management personnel in the Food Hall, and ensure the best service experience for our guests.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS/TASKS:
Promotes, works, and acts in a manner consistent with the mission, vision and values of City Food Hall.
Measures KPI (Key Performance Indicator) Dashboards versus budgeted and forecasted goals to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement.
Work with the Bar Supervisor to ensure Bar is operating at the highest level- this includes reviewing schedules, tracking COGS, ordering, hiring, and planning activations.
Completes payroll procedures, including editing of timecard punches, data entry into the payroll spreadsheet and documentation of tips paid.
Audits completion of new hire paperwork, implementing disciplinary procedures, termination of employees.
Directs and coordinates operations, service, cleanliness and training standards.
Ensures all food safety protocols are being followed and daily audits completed.
Audits, updates and communicates all changes to cleaning, maintenance and preventive maintenance schedules and checklists.
Supports the training of all new team members.
Reviews Kitchen and FOH schedules to ensure shifts are covered appropriately.
Prepares and manages declining budgets on a weekly and per period basis for all controllable expense categories.
Coaches team members if checklists are not completed, or completed unsatisfactorily.
Provides leadership and coaching to managers and hourly team members in the areas of guest service, and operations processes to achieve goals.
Builds win-win partnerships with vendor partners.
Ensures the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation is maintained in the Food Hall.
Develops a culture of team work, empowerment, service, and fun by ensuring all team members know why their job is important.
Leads by example.
All other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Three (3) years of management experience
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
Five (5) years of management experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Ability to speak and hear, vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Constant standing, sitting, and walking.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
Be able to reach, bend, stoop
Be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
Regularly required to use hands and frequent washing of hands.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
