On March 11, our Tourism Industry Interest Group welcomes Paul Van Leeuwen, Chief Operating Officer of HarborWalk Hospitality, as we focus on The Hospitality Mindset.
As COO for HarborWalk Hospitality, Paul H. van Leeuwen is responsible for the operation of the Emerald Grande and HarborWalk Village. Paul is a Hospitality Executive with extensive domestic and international experience in both operational and development roles in Resort Destinations, Theme Parks, Hotels, Vacation Ownership, Festival Marketplaces, Water Parks, and Residential Club Communities. He spent the first twenty years of his career with the Walt Disney Company throughout the world, including three years in France on the start-up team for Disneyland Paris. Prior to his current role, he served as the President for a Virginia-based $175 M hospitality management company with hotel, vacation ownership, and restaurant assets. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, magna cum laude from Georgia Tech and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. Paul and his wife, Janina, live in Destin.
Anyone involved in a tourism-related business or with an interest in area tourism is welcome to attend. Registration is due by 5 p.m., on Monday, March 9.

The Tourism Committee's mission is to bring value to the Destin tourism community through training and information and to become a unified voice of hospitality-based businesses whose success is centered on the tourism industry in our area.
