In 2023, Ladies Who Launch is continuing its Powerhouse Women Series, highlighting impactful women in our community. Join us on Oct. 18, when our Powerhouse Women will be Destin City Councilor Terésa Hebert.
Raised in Ocean Springs, Miss., Hebert is one of seven children. Her father retired Air Force, which inspired four of them to serve. She joined the Navy after graduating high school. She retired from the U.S. Navy in 2003 as a dual officer/enlisted Limited Duty Officer. She spent her Naval career serving in Hawaii, Virginia Beach, and Washington D.C. She also served on board the USS GEORGE WASHINGTON as the Carrier Air Wing Administrative Officer. The Navy instilled values of discipline, leadership and dedication that have helped in all aspects of her life. Upon retirement, she was recruited and hired by Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.
She moved to Destin in 2012 as the Senior Territory Manager at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. After 18 successful years, Teresa retired from Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in 2021, and started working for Exact Sciences, where she is now Senior Territory Manager.
Education has played a vital role in shaping her career and personal growth. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Hawaii in 2003 and later earned a master’s in human resource management from Wayland Baptist University in 2010.
Serving as Councilwoman for the city of Destin is both an honor and a responsibility, and she is committed to representing the interests of the community to make a positive impact. Outside of work and public service, Hebert has a passion for staying active. Running, kickboxing, and paddle boarding keep her energized and focused. She finds solace in traveling, exploring new places, and immersing herself in different cultures. As a sports enthusiast, you will often find her cheering for her favorite college football teams, Auburn, and LSU, as well as passionately supporting the New Orleans Saints.
Family is at the heart of everything Hebert does. She is blessed with a loving husband Stephen, three daughters Krystal, Deanna, and Jamie, and one son Jonathan. She is also a proud grandmother to four grandchildren, two boys, Brock and Arthur and two girls, Riley, and Juliette. Hebert and her husband live with their two dogs CJ and Tula on Main Street in Destin.
Ladies Who Launch, a committee of the Destin Chamber, offers the Chamber's female membership a platform for strategic networking and relationship building, while training, motivating and inspiring those members.
