Destin Chamber's Ladies Who Launch Powerhouse Women Series Sponsored by HOTWORX Destin: Mona Ponder of Business Empowered

Ladies Who Launch is continuing its Powerhouse Women Series, highlighting impactful women in our community. The October 2024 Powerhouse Woman is Mona Ponder, Realtor and co-founder of Business Empowered. 

Lunch is being sponsored by HOTWORX Destin and catered by Big Red Cafe. It includes some Big Red Cafe favorites, including slow-smoked brisket, pulled pork, garden salad, roasted seasonal vegetables, oven-baked mac and cheese, assorted rolls, banana pudding, cookies, tea and lemonade.  

Mona began Business Empowered, along with her husband Okaloosa County Commissioner and former Florida State Representative Mel Ponder, with a vision for impacting business leaders and individuals to exemplify and advance the Kingdom of God in their workplace and community through Godly principles.

She has more than 20 years experience in owning, managing and operating businesses, and she has a keen understanding of the unique challenges and lifestyle demands business people face. She has worked with Fortune 500 companies, achieving national recognition for results, and she possesses more than 15 years of ministry leadership. 

Mel and Mona are actively involved in church and community, and have served on the Board of Directors for multiple Ministries. They have been married for 29 years and are raising 3 children in Northwest Florida.

Ladies Who Launch, a committee of the Destin Chamber, offers the Chamber's female membership a platform for strategic networking and relationship building, while training, motivating and inspiring those members. 

There is no cost for members to attend this event, but space is limited, and registration is required. Non-members must pay $20.
