17th Annual Run with the Dogs 5K

The City of Destin Parks & Recreation Department will host the 17th Annual Run with the Dogs 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 9 a.m. This run is open to individual runners/walkers and a “stroller division.” Participants may bring their dog, big or small, to run or walk the race. Pre-registration costs $20 and must be completed by March 5th. Registration costs increase to $25 if registered between March 5 and March 17. Day-of registration will cost $30 and will be from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in the Destin City Hall Annex parking lot (4100 Indian Bayou Trail). Participants can also register online at www.runsignup.com until March 17 at 5 p.m. The race begins at 9 a.m. Early packet pickup will be Thursday and Friday at City Hall from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. is sponsoring the award ceremony and celebration following the race. T-shirts and prizes for winners of each category will be awarded. Dogs are required to wear their current rabies tags and must be on a leash.
