President Manny Diaz Jr. serves as the seventh president of the University of West Florida, assuming office January 2026 after serving as interim president since July 2025. Under his leadership, UWF continues to serve approximately 15,000 students across its main campus, Emerald Coast campus, and online programs.
President Mel Ponder was selected as the fifth president of Northwest Florida State College in 2024, assuming office in January 2025. In this capacity, he leads an institution with a student population of 7,800 attending multiple campuses and centers in Okaloosa and Walton Counties.
