College Funding & Scholarships Seminar to Support Military Families

Military families face unique opportunities and challenges when planning and paying for college. To help families navigate this important journey, a special College Funding & Scholarships for Military Families Seminar will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at the Hurlburt Field Chapel, 210 Cody Avenue (base access required).
 

The seminar will be led by Michelle Heck, Principal of Choctawhatchee High School, and MSgt. Brian Heck, USAF (Ret.). Together, the Hecks bring decades of professional expertise and personal experience as a military family with children currently navigating the college process.

 

This informative and practical session will cover:

• Federal and state financial aid options

• Military education benefits

• Cost-saving strategies for college planning

• Tips for making confident, informed financial decisions

 

Their guidance is specifically tailored to address the distinct circumstances military families encounter, including frequent relocations, understanding military-specific benefits, and maximizing available resources. Whether your student is years away from graduation or actively completing college applications, this seminar will provide valuable tools, clarity, and confidence. All military families are welcome to attend.
