This event is not managed or sponsored by the Destin Chamber.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBig Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida is excited to announce Gumbo Ya-Ya will return to Seville Quarter in Downtown Pensacola on Saturday\, May 17\, 2025!\n\n\n\nHere on the Gulf Coast\, nothing represents us better than a big pot of homemade Gumbo. Amateur and professional teams will compete for bragging rights for the best Gumbo in Pensacola. Each individual gumbo will be judged on taste\, smell\, color\, and consistency. Trophies will be awarded to the top three winners. In addition\, there is a Showmanship trophy\, given for best decoration and entertainment\, and the coveted People's Choice trophy!\n\n\n\nEntry to the competition is $20 per three-person team and is limited to fifteen teams. Each team must prepare their gumbo "from scratch" at Seville Quarter. Cooking begins at 11:00 a.m. Judging and public tasting begins at 4:00 p.m. To learn more about team registration contact\, Buck Mitchell at buck@rosies.com.\n\n\n\nTickets are $15 per person in advance\, $20 at the door.
